Post.Digital.Dreams presents a Public VR Installation: Look From My Perspective by Vasili Macharadze at Window Project

With the intervention in a public space, perspectives are exchanged, distorted, symbioses between viewer and buildings are created. The work forms the stage for an experiment with perspectives and points of view, based on its architectural relativity.

Vasili Macharadze was born in 1979 in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2003 he graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. His practice as an artist was shaped by the subject of estrangement within urban areas and social spheres brought about by archaic forms of public relations inherited from the Soviet times. This direction was furthered during his stay in Weimar. He took part in the MFA programme “Public Art and New Artistic Strategies” at the Bauhaus University. His research was mainly focused on the role of an artist in the public space. His projects were mostly directed towards exploration of new and unconventional intersections of antithetical objects-public idioms and private feeling, artist and spectator. Towards properties gained as a result of combination, forming the new set of possible interfaces, maybe more responsible ones to our contemporary needs.
